You Have Rights: Service Animals and Disability Rights Laws
Service animals can be extremely valuable in assisting persons with both physical and psychiatric disabilities to live independently and be fully integrated into the community. Service animals are trained to do a variety of tasks, which can benefit persons with disabilities on a daily basis. This workshop will provide information about the provisions under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Arizonans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act pertaining to the rights of service animal owners with disabilities. This workshop will also provide legal and self advocacy strategies to enforce the federal rights of service animal owners with disabilities.
