PAUL WRIGHT

Paul Wright is the editor and founder of Prison Legal News, a monthly magazine which reports on news and litigation involving all detention facilities. He is the co-editor of The Celling of America: An Inside Look at the US Prison Industry (Common Courage, 1997) and Prison Nation: The Warehousing of America's Poor (Routledge, 2003). He has written and spoken extensively on criminal justice issues. Paul is also the national jailhouse lawyer co vice president of the National Lawyers Guild. He was imprisoned in the Washington state prison system from 1987 through 2003.
