Gisela Sartori

GISELA SARTORI

Gisela Sartori is the founder of Second Opinion Society, a unique anti-psychiatry group in Whitehorse, Yukon in North Canada. Gisela has been the coordinator for Second Opinion Society for the past fourteen years. She has twenty-five years of experience in developing non-medical alternatives to psychiatry in Germany and Canada, and is a psychiatric survivor herself. She has a Master's degree in Community Psychology from the University of Berlin, and is the author of Toward Empathy, a guide to working with psychiatrized women for womens' shelters and transition homes across Canada and the United States.
