Katie Basford

Katie Basford has been a member of the Georgia PAIMI Advisory Council since 2020 and has served as the council chair since August of 2021. As chair, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Advocacy Office. In May of 2022, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Georgia State University. She works for the Georgia Center for Nonprofits as a Virtual Course Coordinator under the mission of providing education and resources to hundreds of nonprofits around the state of Georgia. She has worked in multiple psychology research labs studying anxiety disorders and children’s cognition and development. She has also been a longtime volunteer for the Georgia Special Olympics for over ten years and has a deep passion for ensuring the rights and protection of all persons with disabilities.
