Cheri Bragg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Relations from the University of Connecticut in Storrs. She has 15+ years’ professional experience working in the mental health system, largely in mental health advocacy including grassroots legislative advocacy and civil rights work. She has almost 50 years’ experience as a daughter of a parent with many mental health labels, picking up and later rejecting a few of her own along the way. She brings a wealth of personal and professional advocacy experiences to this workshop, accompanied by the ever-evolving struggle to provide advocacy within a system that does not align with her values of holding compassionate, individualized space for people when we are in distress.
